Pamela A. Kindig

Pam was born and raised in North Canton, Ohio. Pam received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting, with honors, from California State University, Sacramento. Prior to moving to Napa California in 1978 she taught secondary and elementary physical education in Ganado, Arizona and Riverton, Wyoming. Pam was elected as Napa County Auditor-Controller in June 1986 and took office in January 1987, retiring in 2009. Prior to taking office, Pam was an Accounting Analyst with Pacific Gas & Electric from 1982-1986. Pam held various leadership roles in the State Association of County Auditors – she served as president in 1996-1997 and also held various other positions within the Association including 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President and Bay Area Chair. Pam's most recent involvement in the State Association was as a member of the Accounting Standards and Procedures Committee and chair of the Budget Manual Revision Committee. Pam is involved in many local committees having served as President of the Napa-Solano United Way where she also served as Vice-President and Treasurer. Pam is also an active member of Soroptimist International of Napa and completed two years as the organization's Treasurer. Pam is the Treasurer for Covenant Presbyterian Church and has held this position since 1992. Currently Pam is a Commissioner on the Napa City-County Library and a Trustee on the Queen of the Valley Medical Center Foundation. Pam resides in Napa with her husband, Russ; has two grown daughters and three grandsons. She loves to ride roller-coasters and play golf.
